Westfalia, known for its pop-up camper vans, has introduced a new model that fits the luxury of a Class A motorhome into a standard Fiat Ducato van.
The Columbus Liner packs three distinct living levels into a 636-cm (250-in) body—about the length of a typical full-size van. The design appeals to buyers seeking high-end RV comfort without the bulk or cost of larger vehicles.
A half-pop roof that doesn’t include a bed
Where Westfalia really evolves the rear-bed design is in adding a “Sky Roof,” a clever spin on the pop-up roof. The roof covers only about two-thirds of the roofline, improving airflow and ventilation above the rear bed.
The van accommodates four people. The front dinette converts into a small bed (180 x 90 cm) for one or two children, while the rear bed is oversized enough that young families should be able to accommodate everyone. A wet bathroom includes a slide-away toilet and fold-away sink to maximize shower space. The kitchen features a two-burner induction cooktop and a 90-liter fridge with a door that opens from inside or outside.
Luxury in a compact form
Most European motorhomes labeled as “liners” are large, expensive vehicles. Westfalia’s approach delivers similar features in a van only slightly longer than a standard delivery truck.

The under-bed garage can fit two e-bikes without removing the wheels, thanks to an optional system. It also includes prewiring for charging and space for skis, inflatable kayaks, or a scooter. Off-grid features include up to 540 Ah of lithium battery power, a 3,000-watt inverter, and a 165-watt solar panel.
The van isn’t limited to weekend trips. It comes with a diesel water heater, a 95-liter fresh water tank, and floor heating, making it suitable for colder climates or longer journeys. The two-way fridge and induction cooktop ensure practical daily use.
Westfalia will unveil the Columbus Liner at next month’s Düsseldorf Caravan Salon.
